Vyora Care provides hospital companion and related non-medical assistance services. Our services are intended to provide practical, emotional and logistical assistance to individuals and families during hospital visits.

1

Not a Medical Service

Vyora Care is not a hospital, clinic, diagnostic centre, medical practitioner, nursing agency or emergency medical service provider unless expressly stated otherwise for a particular service.

Vyora Care companions do not diagnose medical conditions, prescribe medicines, provide medical treatment or independently make clinical decisions.

2

No Medical Advice

Information provided through our website, customer-care team, companions or other communications must not be treated as:

  • Medical advice
  • Diagnosis
  • Prescription
  • Treatment recommendation
  • Medical opinion

Customers should consult qualified healthcare professionals for medical decisions.

3

Hospital Staff

Vyora Care companions are independent support personnel/service representatives and are not hospital employees merely because they accompany a customer inside a hospital. They do not replace:

  • Doctors
  • Nurses
  • Technicians
  • Hospital attendants
  • Emergency medical personnel
  • Other qualified healthcare professionals
4

Hospital Procedures

Our companions may assist customers with practical matters such as:

  • Navigating hospital areas
  • Registration/counter coordination
  • Document handling
  • Waiting-area assistance
  • Accompanying the patient
  • Communication assistance
  • Report/document collection
  • Medicine collection where authorised
  • Family updates

The actual medical procedure, consultation, diagnosis, test, surgery or treatment remains under the responsibility of the relevant healthcare provider.

5

Emergency Conditions

Vyora Care is not an emergency medical response service. In an emergency, customers should immediately contact the appropriate emergency medical service, hospital emergency department or qualified medical professional.

A companion may assist with practical coordination where reasonably possible, but must not be relied upon as a substitute for emergency medical care.

6

Medical Condition Disclosure

Customers should inform Vyora Care of relevant conditions or limitations that may affect safe assistance. This may include:

  • Mobility limitations
  • Fall risk
  • Confusion or cognitive impairment
  • Behavioural concerns
  • Allergies
  • Infectious conditions
  • Special assistance requirements
  • Oxygen or other medical equipment
  • Any other relevant safety information

Failure to disclose material information may affect our ability to provide safe assistance.

7

Existing Health Conditions

Vyora Care does not guarantee that a patient’s existing medical condition will remain stable during a hospital journey. A patient’s condition may change unexpectedly. If a medical condition deteriorates, medical decisions must be made by qualified healthcare professionals.

8

Patient Movement

Companions may assist with ordinary movement and navigation only within the limits of their training and the service scope. They must not perform unsafe lifting, transfer, restraint or medical procedures beyond their training and authorised duties. Where specialised physical assistance is required, the appropriate hospital or healthcare professional should be requested.

9

Medicines

Vyora Care may assist with medicine collection where specifically authorised. Vyora Care does not:

  • Prescribe medicines
  • Change dosage
  • Recommend substitutions
  • Determine treatment
  • Independently administer medicines unless a separately lawful and specifically authorised service permits it

The customer/patient and prescribing healthcare professional remain responsible for medical decisions.

10

Reports and Medical Documents

Where reports or documents are collected or shared as part of the requested service, Vyora Care acts only as an assistance/coordination intermediary. The issuing hospital, laboratory or healthcare provider remains responsible for the accuracy and contents of medical records.

Unless expressly stated otherwise, Vyora Care does not operate an ambulance service. Emergency transportation must be arranged through appropriate emergency medical transport.
